Oh Shannon I hear you loud and clear. I'm so lacking mindfulness and feeling the effects. I do appreciate that I now notice how out of whack I am, rather than accepting the way I'm feeling mentally and physically as norma..

Keep me posted on if your new strategy works re: default home window as The Mindfulist. I may need to try it myself :)

No chance to read anything besides getting midway into "The Power of Less" by Leo Babauta. It's a super read so far.

I hear what you are saying about The Mindfulist... we could bomb through a whole lot of the prompts in one sitting.

...and we might feel semi-good about doing so, but it does truly rob the concept of its very core. I have contemplated the same thing over the past few days, however, because I am also quite behind.

So i decided to make it my default home window before I left work today. I'm actually already looking forward to firing up my computer tomorrow - knowing it will be there waiting for me.

Have you had a chance to look at those two books you mentioned above yet? The titles seem quite intriguing.

Wow - I never would have guessed this, you are so well-composed, well-spoken and so welcoming to one and all! Just goes to show - and, what could be better than describing what you've been through, to encourage others that they can overcome as well!!

Good ideas, very well executed. One of my favorite is the "Born With Googly Eyes" series.

Yeah - they are very different dogs. We've had Lola for about 5 months now and they seem to get along great. At 15, Quest doesn't do much but eat and sleep so he doesn't pay much attention to her. I wouldn't trade either of them. ;)

This is awesome! I love it. It's a great feeling when you really want to do something and you actually get to do it. I wish Roberto + Bianca the best on their travels. We'll be following it from here.

There is really something to be said for goal setting, creating and seizing opportunities, without all of the trappings of new-agey doctrines and quack consultants.
Once you cut through that clutter, some real life transformation can emerge.

Best of luck to you guys. I'm looking forward to reading all about your adventures!

It really is quite simple. Maybe it's become cliché with all the jibba-jabba from The Secret and its evangelists. But having a clear goal and adjusting your life to meet it is gospel.

Not because you'll send magical wish rays that the universe will transmute into reality (although that could be true). But that you'll learn to identify and seize every opportunity that you come across that will push you toward that goal.

Thanks for the writeup, Tanya.
