Technojerks… The inevitable post

Just came across a post by Megan Price on the Girls in Tech blog presenting the topic of Techniquette and providing some very Miss Manners-like advice (if Miss Manners was connected to her iPhone & laptop 24/7).

Megan speaks to how we really do need to unplug when we’re in the company of others as it’s really just the polite thing to do. How often do we neglect our social skills when we’re in a crowd and are busily keymashing while someone’s speaking directly to us? Not too cool when you’re on the receiving end of this kind of behaviour. Same is true when you’re in a talk or presentation setting. If someone is taking the time out of their schedule to to offer their advice and learning, then the least you can do is get your phone set to vibe so as not to call attention away from them.
